Creativity in Cooperation : Four Success Stories

This is the collection of four Success Stories in cooperative field. The purpose behind this book is to create awareness about what goes behind the success of a cooperative society. The United Nations had declared 2012 as the International year of cooperatives. The book was published in the same year in the International Conference on Cooperative movement at Bhopal. In this book there are case studies on four cooperatives, two from rural and two from urban areas. Jagruti Mahila Manch is a self-help group in Jarkhand, working for last 20 years for women empowerment . The story is of a private transport company in south Karnataka. The turn-out of this small company has crossed Rs. 16 crores. This cooperative transport company has 76 buses and 256 employees. The third one is the story of a cooperative Dairy in Bhopal and fourth is of a women self-help group in Ahmadabad. All the four stories are inspiring and will definitely show the new path to the newcomers.
